Brush or bronze? That is often the question Rachelle asks herself when moved to create. Her brilliance lies in her gift for expressing passion with color, grace in the movement, and the reverie of the moment. Born and raised in the Walla Walla Valley, Rachelle's artistic love affair began as soon as she could grasp a crayon. Since then she's traveled the world, and studied fine art at university, striving continually to understand her world through the eyes of an artist. Largely self taught, Rachelle uses many mediums and techniques, including the lost wax process of bronze sculpting, to create works that give voice to her imagination. Rachelle’s work has been featured in galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest and Midwest and into countless private collections throughout the US and abroad.Art reminds me of what it feels like to be a child. I strive to convey the beauty of the natural and the imagined as experienced for the first time by an awestruck child. In doing so, I offer my imagination, hopes and dreams to my family, friends and other dreamers . My hope is to inspire, calm, and renew with expressions of tranquility in thought and form. Creating art is the one thing I do to experience timeless bliss. When I’m working it feels as though I was created for this purpose. The love and support of many have made all of this possible and in some way I hope to pass that along to you. Please let me know your thoughts through email or the guest book and thanks for looking. I dip my brush into my soul and from it echoes the colors that were put there by my creator. I was created to bring beauty into this world. --Rachelle"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."--Michelangelo Buonarroti
